Sudan's Lost Boys - by Victoria Biro :)

Jacob Atem, a young boy living in the roughs of South Sudan, one day found himself wandering miles along with the other boys left with no parents after the war.  Instead of living a long and hard life in poverty with no parents, he fled to America to turn his life around.  After growing and maturing he realized that the life he lived was still happening for many young boys.  He decided to return to South Sudan and open a clinic for young boys in need of shelter and family.  Unfortunately, his return was very untimely because he arrived during the next war for independence in Sudan.  He was put in the same situation as he was in as a child, dodging bullets in the bushes with no where to go.  He did make it through unharmed, but many were not as lucky as him.  This group now known as the Lost Boys has been in action raising money for abandoned children and is still going strong.

This organization is very inspiring and even though Atem's return was unfortunate for him, it was really a good thing.  After that war, I'm sure there were hundreds of more children in need than there wouldve been before.  He saved lives and created hope for boys with nothing left.
